BRIAN C. MILES

Brian C. Miles graduated from the California State University, Northridge and obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1991. From 1992 to 1997, Mr. Miles was a Legislative Aide to Assemblyman Curtis R. Tucker, Jr. who represented the 51st Assembly District. Mr. Miles then served as District Director from 1997 to 2001 for United States Congresswoman Juanita Millender-McDonald (deceased) who represented the 37th Congressional District.

 

He obtained a Juris Doctor Degree from Western State University College of Law in 2000, after which he was admitted to the California State Bar as an Attorney and Counselor at Law in 2001. He is also licensed to practice before the United States District Court for the Central District of California, Southern District of California, Eastern District of California and Northern District of California.

 

Mr. Miles began his legal career as a sole practitioner in 2001, focusing on the areas of bankruptcy, probate, family and criminal law. He partnered with Cornell L. Hatcher in 2002 and founded the Law Office of Miles & Hatcher LLP. Since the establishment of the firm, Mr. Miles has focused his practice on the areas of Estate Planning, Family Law, Criminal Law, Bankruptcy, Probate, Personal Injury and Civil Litigation.

 

From simple wills and basic trusts, to sophisticated tax-saving trusts and charitable remainder trusts, Mr. Miles and his team provide reliable assistance to clients in estate planning and estate administration.  Mr. Miles represents high net worth clients, entrepreneurs, owners of closely held businesses and clients who require sophisticated legal strategies. His estate planning services range from tax minimization and wealth preservation to laying the groundwork for smooth business succession, and arranging contingency plans for medical and financial decision-making.
 

CORNELL L. HATCHER

Cornell L. Hatcher grew up in Diamond Bar, California. He started his college education at West Point, the United States Military Academy. He later transferred to Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge Louisiana, where he played football for the Jaguars and was also a captain and a three-year starter.

 

In 1992, he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics. He obtained a Juris Doctor Degree from Western State University College of Law in 2000 and was admitted to the California State Bar in 2001. He is also licensed to practice before the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

 

Mr. Hatcher started his legal career as a Law Clerk in a family law firm in San Bernardino, CA. On passing the bar in 2001, he became a staff attorney with the same firm, where he worked until 2002. Mr. Hatcher then partnered with Brian C. Miles to form the Law Office of Miles & Hatcher LLP. Since then, the firm has focused the practice on the areas of Family Law, Criminal Law, Bankruptcy, Probate, Personal Injury, and Civil Litigation.
